BBTA History & Milestones
The Beginning of a Coffee Education Movement
Bangladesh Barista Training Academy (BBTA) was established in 2023 with the vision of transforming coffee education in Bangladesh and creating globally skilled baristas for the growing hospitality industry.
First ISO-Certified Barista Training Academy
BBTA achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, becoming the first barista training academy in Bangladesh to meet international training and quality standards.
Launch of Professional Barista Courses
BBTA introduced a wide range of professional courses including barista training, specialty coffee preparation, beverage making, baking, and hospitality-related skills for beginners and aspiring professionals.
Industry-Standard Training Curriculum
The academy began delivering training based on globally recognized coffee education standards with instructors who are experienced industry professionals and certified trainers.
Expansion of Services
To support students coming from outside Dhaka, BBTA introduced accommodation facilities for male trainees who do not have living arrangements in the city, making professional training more accessible.
Second Branch Opened in Dhanmondi
BBTA expanded its operations by opening its second training branch in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, allowing more students to access professional barista training and strengthening its presence in Bangladesh’s coffee education sector.
Accommodation Facilities for Female Students
BBTA further expanded its support system by launching accommodation facilities for female students, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for women pursuing careers in the coffee industry.

Today, BBTA continues to lead and navigate the barista training industry in Bangladesh, empowering students with practical skills and helping them build successful careers in the global coffee sector.
